HOW IT HAPPENED
-
The Lakers had yet another tough matchup in the undefeated Keystone Giants this afternoon.

The Giants came out like an undefeated team, earning four penalty corners and four shots in the first seven minutes of the contest.
-
Defense in front of KY Phillips held it down, not letting a shot through in the first quarter.
-
At the 10:10 mark of the first quarter, directly off a penalty corner taken by Kaitlyn Jordan, Pagliaroli put it in the net after a little pinball in front of the net, Natalie Shields earned her first collegiate point with an assist on the goal.
-
Quarter two was a quiet one for both teams with only three penalty corners and two shots in the entirety.
-
One thrilling play in the second quarter was a HUGE defensive save by Erin Schaefer to keep the game at 1-0 in favor of the Lakers.
-
The Giants controlled the third quarter with four penalty corners and not allowing a shot on goal for the Lakers.
-
The fourth quarter was also back and forth as the Lakers and Giants went chance for chance on their respective offensive ends.
-
Kaitlyn Jordan with less than three minutes to go added a much-needed insurance goal to give the Lakers a 2-0 lead.
-
KY Phillips had multiple saves at the end of the contest to preserve the shutout.
