ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Soccer took to the road this afternoon, earning their first victory of the season over the Elmira Soaring Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Senior Captain Kieran Gilroy made his way back into the lineup this afternoon and made an impact immediately.

In the first six minutes of the contest, Gilroy had already put two shots on goal for the Lakers.

Oswego dominated the possession of the first half, the game remained at zero's going into the final half.

Starting the half with three straight corners, the Lakers' Jason Wuytack scored the Lakers' first goal of the game. Kyle Gehnrich assisted.

Continuing the pressure for the Lakers going down the stretch of the final half, Gilroy made his impact felt as he scored the Lakers' second goal of the contest, again assisted by Gehnrich.

The defense was locked in for Oswego, keeping the chances to a minimum.

Elmira felt that and started putting the pressure on with less than five minutes to go. Oswego continued to stay focused and executed to earn the shutout.
