FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Soccer team completed their first game of the Fredonia Tournament this afternoon against the Utica University Pioneers, handing them their first loss of the season. Gabriella Martinez scored the lone goal for the Lakers 26:11 into the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Brianna Winkler has had her chances this year and continued that in this contest, at 4:32, Winkler had the Lakers' first shot on goal.

There was a lot of offense on both sides of the ball in the first half, combining for a total of 13 shots. Seven for the Lakers and six for the Pioneers.

At 26:11, just after two straight corners for Utica, Gabriella Martinez scored the opening and proving to be the only goal of the contest.

Oswego dominated the second half, only allowing one shot on goal and adding five of their own.

The Lakers finished the contest only allowing one shot on goal and had eight of their own!

Oswego has lacked no offense this season, earning 52 shots in two games and 32 of those on goal.
