BUFFALO, N.Y. – SUNY Oswego men's hockey team was back in action Saturday afternoon in Buffalo, NY against the Buffalo State Bengals. The Lakers extended their winning streak to three games in a row with a 5-1 win over the Bengals.
 
The Lakers wasted no time taking a lead in this one when Shane Bull intercepted a pass in the Bengals zone and scored an unassisted goal less than two minutes into the game. The Lakers carried that one-goal lead into the second period. In the eighth minute of action, the Lakers were on a powerplay, and AJ Ryan took advantage of it burying a goal over the shoulder of the goalie assisted by Brock Krulicki and Trent Grimshaw. After the Bengals cut the deficit to one, the Lakers found themselves on the wrong end of a powerplay, but Connor Gatto secured a rebound and fired it past the goalie (assisted by Tyler Flack and Shane Bull) to give the Lakers a 3-1 lead at the end of the third on a short-handed goal. In the third, after Rocco Andreacchi fired a shot off the pipe, Brett Fudger hustled for the rebound and scored the fourth goal of the game for the Lakers (Ben Addison assist). The final Laker goal of the evening was the second goal of the evening by AJ Ryan who took advantage of a missed play by the Bengals goalie (assisted by Ben Addison and Trent Grimshaw). Cal Shell was once again great in goal with thirty total saves and only allowing one goal.
