ELMIRA, NY – The SUNY Oswego field hockey team traveled to Elmira to take on the Soaring Eagles in the Breast Cancer Awareness game. After falling behind in the first half, the Lakers battled back to grab their 3rd victory of the season, 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers put on an offensive clinic from the opening whistle, to the final horn. The Lakers out shot Elmira 12-3 in the first half, unfortunately for the Lakers, they would have to wait until the 2nd half until they were able to light up the scoreboard. Elmira was able to take the lead 1-0, off a set of passes with only 7 seconds left in the 1st half.
Coming out of the halftime break, the Lakers kept their foot on the gas, creating more scoring opportunities. Senior,
Nancy Pagliaroli scored the equalizer for the Lakers off an assist from
Makayla Caldwell. Oswego would continue to generate offensive pressure which resulted in the Lakers taking the lead 2-1, off the stick from
Madi Stuckart. Stuckart would be assisted by
Bryleigh Beauchat. The Lakers final goal was scored off a rip by
Natalie Shields at 58:22, on a pass from
Alexa Snyder. The offensive onslaught by the Lakers resulted in 40 shots to Elmira's 4 and 17 penalty corners to Elmira's 3.
