OSWEGO, N.Y. – The SUNY Oswego field hockey team was on the road once again on Saturday at William Smith College. This was the final regular season game for the Lakers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first half the Lakers struggled to gain momentum against the Herons of Williams Smith.
The Lakers did not register any corners or shots on goal while the Herons took 18 shots on 12 corners. The first goal of the game was scored in the second quarter by the Herons off a penalty corner. That 1-0 lead was all William Smith was able to create until half time against the Lakers.
The Lakers defense was under constant pressure in the third quarter and the Herons were able to add three goals to their lead. Heading into the fourth, with a 4-0 lead, the Herons scored one final goal in the fourth quarter to cap off a 5-0 win over the Lakers. In goal for Oswego, Sam Krautheim added 11 saves to her total.

Field Hockey will head to SUNY Cortland on Wednesday November 6th for the first round of the SUNYAC Playoffs starting at 2:00 PM!
