HOW IT HAPPENED
The Oswego Lakers took on Oneonta in the 1st round of the SUNYAC tournament. Oswego held the third seed, and Oneonta held the sixth seed. A tightly contested 1st half saw some back-and-forth action without many scoring chances. Both teams took turns holding possession until Oneonta was able to get on the scoreboard from a left-footed strike by Emma Parente, to beat Perri Anderson before the end of the half.
As the 2nd half got underway, the Lakers were unable to build momentum, resulting in few scoring chances. However, the Lakers best scoring opportunity came from Kaylee Elliot in the 82nd minute, as she was unable to score as she beat the Red Dragon defenders. Oneonta would go on to secure their 1st playoff win of the season over the Lakers in Oswego.
