HOW IT HAPPENED

Game 1
The Lions scored the first run of the game after a sacrifice bunt brought in the runner on third. In the top of the second, Lillian Haggerty got to first on a fielder's choice. With two outs, she stole second and third with eyes on home plate but was left stranded.

In the bottom of the fourth, the Lions had a runner on second that scored from a single to right center field.
The Lakers were hopeful to get on the board in the fifth. Haggerty hit a single up the middle and then advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. Kira Wright got to first by fielder's choice. After TCNJ made a pitching change, both runners stole a base and were looking to score with only one out, unfortunately, the Lakers could not push those runs across.

The Lions runner advanced to third following a grounded out and was able to score in the same fashion.

TCNJ ended the game victorious 3-0.

Game 2

Oswego walked the first batter of the game who then advanced to second on a wild pitch and stole third. Another Lions batter hit a double which brought in their first run of the game.

In the bottom of the second, Katarina Agerter was on second. Haggerty reached on a throwing error and then advanced to second on the throw which brought in Agerter to tie up the score 1-1.

TCNJ scored twice in the third. Oswego, now trying to play catchup, benefitted from TCNJ walking Grace DiPalma, her stealing second, and advancing to third after a ground out to first. She was able to score on a wild pitch to bring the Laker up 3-2.

TCNJ went on to score once in the fifth and sixth.

In the final inning, the Lions scored run number six after a single through the left side. With runners now on first and second, the Lions batter hit a single to left field which allowed the runner on second to reach home.
In the Lakers last shot to bring in runs, Wright hit a single and stole second with two outs. The final efforts were not enough as Oswego was trumped 7-2.
