MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Oswego State Softball team was back in action early Wednesday morning against the Dean College Bulldogs. The Lakers captured their first win of the season in a convincing 6-0 performance.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers came out in this game determined to get their first win. In the top of the first,
Ellie Mahoney singled to center field sending home
Kira Wright for a 1-0 lead.
In the second inning,
Lillian Haggerty got things started with a single up the middle. Then
Mackenzie Carlson stole home increasing the Oswego lead.
Grace DiPalma sent home Haggerty later in the inning and a
Fiona Higgins double scored
Kira Wright giving the Lakers a 4-0 lead after just two innings.
On the mound,
Fiona Higgins pitched an exceptional game going 7 innings allowing only two hits, one walk, and striking out 11 batters.
In the 7
th, the Lakers added a few insurance runs on a SAC fly from
Fiona Higgins and a single from
Kylie Detz.
The Lakers took down the Bulldogs, 6-0.

The Lakers are back in action this morning at 11:00 AM against the Stevenson Mustangs.
