OSWEGO, NY. - The SUNY Oswego Baseball team hosted the number two team of the Liberty League East, the University of Rochester Yellowjackets. The Lakers scored early and never looked back securing a non-conference win over the Yellowjackets, 6-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sean Dertinger got the start on the mound for the Lakers. He threw three complete innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out four.

In the bottom of the first,
Daniel Winchester singled and stole second. He scored when
Owen Parliament doubled to left field.
Tishawn Featherstone was hit by a pitch and then
CJ McCarthy mashed a three-run home run giving the Lakers a four-run lead.

Next to pitch was Matt Drillings who went two complete innings without allowing a run and striking out two.

The Yellowjackets scored one run in the top of the second and the Lakers finally answered in the bottom of the 6
th.
CJ McCarthy walked, and
Jacob Levine crushed a two-run home run to center field increasing the Laker lead to 6-1.

Richie Paul and
Grant Biederman combined to throw three innings and allow four hits and one run.
Jonah Shearer came in to close out Rochester in the ninth and struck out two of the three batters he faced.
