ALFRED, NY – The Lakers men's tennis team hit the road Tuesday afternoon to take on the Alfred University Saxons.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers opened with doubles matches.
Maurice Meyer and
Matthew Mannara handled their opponents with a score of 8-4.
Austin Davis and
Michael Saalfrank unfortunately fell to the Saxons by a score of 6-8.
Ethan Bannochie and
Anthony Marcano dispatched their opponents, winning by a score of 8-1.
The Lakers kicked off singles matches with
Maurice Meyer who took down his opponent 6-0, 6-1. He was followed by
Matthew Mannara who won in a similar fashion, 6-2, 6-1.
Anthony Marcano had a competitive first set winning 6-4 but was able to handle his opponent 6-0 next to secure the win.
Ethan Bannochie's match looked very similar to him finishing his opponent 6-4, 6-1.
Austin Davis had a strong win over Walker Waldon of Alfred securing his win, 6-3, 6-3. Finally, Zach Demott grabbed the final win of the day for the Lakers 6-2, 6-1.
The men's tennis team now improves to 7-3 on the season.

The men's tennis team will head to SUNY Oneonta on Monday April 22
nd for a 3:00 PM start against the Red Dragons.
