OSWEGO, NY – The SUNY Oswego women's tennis team was on the road at SUNY Fredonia on Saturday looking to extend their record setting winning streak. The Lakers decisively took down the Blue Devils by a score of 6-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After taking down the Golden Eagles in Brockport yesterday, the Lakers moved on to the SUNY Fredonia Blue Devils for their first conference match-up of the season.
Doubles kicked off in the afternoon and the team of
Avery Borman and
Isabella Eason unfortunately fell to the Blue Devils.
Emily Lyga and
Kathryn Salamida faced some resistance but won their match, 6-3. Finally,
Leah Bell and
Emily DeLuca won convincingly, 6-1.
In singles,
Kathryn Salamida continued to succeed taking down her opponent, 6-0. 6-0.
Emily DeLuca and
Avery Borman won with identical scores 6-1, 6-0.
Leah Bell and
Emily Lyga also found success against the Blue Devils with the Lakers only droped one singles match in the afternoon.
The eighth win in a row continues to set the record for the Oswego women's tennis program for most consecutive wins in a season.
