CORTLAND, N.Y. – The SUNY Oswego Field Hockey team hit the road for Cortland, NY to take on the Red Dragons in their first conference game of the season. The Red Dragons are currently ranked 10
th nationally in the coach's poll.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Cortland proved to be a difficult challenge for the Lakers this afternoon. In the first quarter, Oswego was not able to get anything going on offense.
Sam Krautheim made 4 saves in goal, but the Red Dragons knocked in two goals to take a 2-0 lead. In the second, the Cortland offense continued to find success adding two more goals and securing a 4-0 lead before halftime.
The second half was much of the same for both SUNYAC teams. The Lakers did not take a penalty corner until the fourth quarter where they were able to take 3. Unfortunately, the Lakers could not capitalize and ended up suffering a defeat in their first conference game of the season, 8-0. The two Oswego goalies Foer and Krautheim finished with 20 combined saves.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego Field Hockey will head to Elmira College on Wednesday October 10
th for a non-conference contest. The game is set to start at 4:00 PM.
