HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers started strong with a three-pointer by Cole Kattan and a jumper from Deacon Judd, taking an early lead. The Mustangs responded with two free throws and a three-pointer to tie the game at 5-5, setting an intense pace as both teams fought to establish control. After a steal, Gary McClane drove in for a layup to put Oswego ahead 9-8, but Morrisville quickly answered with a jumper. The game remained tight, tied 14-14 at the halfway mark of the first half. Morrisville began to pull away with two three-pointers, splitting a Lakers free throw to take a 20-15 lead. Ahkee Anderson's layup helped close the gap, but a Mustang dunk and jumper kept Oswego trailing. The Lakers struggled to find scoring opportunities, while Morrisville's sharp shooting extended their lead to 32-19 after consecutive three-pointers. Xavier Allen contributed three points from a jumper and a free throw, while Arthur Foster added two free throws, and Elijah Hardison chipped in a layup to narrow the gap to 28-35. However, Morrisville closed the half with a three-pointer at the buzzer, sending Oswego into halftime down 28-38.

The second half began with a steal by Deacon Judd, but the Lakers were unable to capitalize on the turnover, allowing the Mustangs to open the scoring with a three-pointer. Steven Bradley's foul shot on a layup added three points for Oswego, but Morrisville quickly responded with another three-pointer to maintain their lead. Despite a tight defense, the Lakers struggled offensively and called a timeout down 36-48 with 15 minutes left. The Mustangs extended their lead with back-to-back three-pointers, forcing Oswego into another timeout. The Lakers continued to fight, with Gary McClane contributing a layup, Arthur Foster adding two free throws, and Sean Edwards hitting a jumper, but Morrisville's offense kept answering. By the 12-minute mark, Oswego trailed 40-59. The Lakers scored four points from free throws, and Bradley added a layup, but Morrisville answered with more scoring. With seven minutes left, Oswego trailed 51-66. As both teams continued to play aggressively, the Lakers managed to add some points late in the game, with Jorel Monroe sinking a dunk and a layup and Jayden Watkins adding a layup and a three-pointer. Despite the effort, Oswego fell 64-82 to Morrisville.
