The Lakers came into Plattsburgh fresh off of a road win over the Potsdam Bears, but the momentum didn't carry over, as the Lakers struggled to stop the Cardinals defensively, allowing 51 points in the first half alone. The Lakers offense was only able to produce 30 in the first half, with top contributors being Cole Kattan with 8 points, as well as Steven Bradley and Ahkee Anderson with 6 points a piece going into the half.
Deacon Judd, Billy Reyes, and Xavier Allen came out of the locker room trying to get things going, as Judd finished the night with 10 points, Reyes with 21, and Allen with 20, combining for 51 second half points But the deficit was just too large to overcome, and the Lakers took their third conference loss of the season to the Cardinals by a score of 87-84
