The Basics:

New Paltz: 1 (8-2-3, 3-1-1 SUNYAC)
South Turf Field | New Paltz, NY

How It Happened:
The Lakers started this game off clicking on all levels. They cared for the ball and treated every possession with serious drive. Tajay Ellis gave a quick test to the New Platz goalie putting one lower left in the fourth minute. Although it was saved, it kept New Paltz on their toes and showed Oswego what could work for the rest of the game. After numerous corner kicks and opportunities for the Lakers, they finally capitalized as the senior Cerixey Lindsay went unassisted and put the Lakers up 1-0. It was the midfielder's 2nd goal of the season. New Paltz did begin to hold themselves accountable and held the ball more after the goal. Kyle Rose saved the only shot on goal by the Hawks and the Lakers went into the locker room with a 1-0 advantage.

New Paltz trailing was trying to get off as many shots as possible in the second half. They outshot the Lakers 5-2 before New Paltz found their game tying goal. The goal came in the 77th minute. It was the Hawks David Lamour that snuck it past Kyle Rose and the game was now even. There were no more shots taken by either team in the last 12 minutes and the game tied at 1.

What's Next:
Oswego has a bout with the Potsdam Bears on Wednesday. The Lakers get their 3rd SUNYAC home game and look to get back in the win column. The gametime is set for 6:00pm
