HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
From the kickoff, this game was a back-and-forth defensive battle with both offenses struggling to find success throughout the contest. Fredonia started strong, leading the Lakers 7-3 on shots in the first half, but were not able to find the net. Sophomore Goalkeeper Kyle Rose had a phenomenal showing in the goal, recording 4 saves in the first half and finishing with 6 on the day. The Lakers found more success in the second half offensively, leading the Blue Devils 6-5 shots on goal in the second half.
Although teams had chances offensively, the game ended in a 0-0 tie, concluding both teams' regular seasons.
