They would finish the first ahead by a score of 1-0, outshooting the Saxons by five shots to none.
The second quarter was much of the same, as the Lakers continued to apply pressure, tacking on seven more recorded shots, but the Saxons' defense held strong for the entirety of the second quarter, and the Lakers went into the halftime break ahead 1-0.
Natalie Shields doubled the Lakers lead just four minutes into the third, off of a second chance rebound into the bottom corner of the net. The Lakers would finish the third ahead 2-0, tacking on another eight shots on target, continuing this dominant performance against the Saxons.
The fourth quarter was a quiet one for both teams, as a majority of possessions were halted before advancing to the final third. Sam Krautheim had an explosive fourth recording five saves, keeping the clean sheet in net, helping the Lakers pick up a nice 2-0 win over the Saxons.
