SALISBURY, MD. – The Oswego State field hockey team faced one of its toughest challenges of the season on Saturday afternoon, taking on nationally-ranked No. 4 Salisbury. Despite a relentless effort on the defensive end, the Lakers ultimately fell to the Sea Gulls, 8-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Oswego's defensive unit, anchored by goalkeeper Sam Krauthiem, was put to the test from the opening whistle. Krauthiem stood tall against a barrage of shots, recording an impressive 19 saves while facing 27 shots on goal. Freshman goalie
Mia Foer also saw time in the cage, continuing to battle against Salisbury's deep offensive rotation.
Although the Lakers were unable to generate shots on the offensive end, the Lakers back line put together a gritty effort against a Salisbury squad that racked up 28 penalty corners and showcased why they are among the nation's elite.
The Lakers' fight was evident throughout the contest, with the team continuing to press and challenge despite the offensive pressure from the Sea Gulls.
