Fredonia, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's soccer team saw its SUNYAC postseason run come to an end in heartbreaking fashion Saturday afternoon, falling 1–0 to Fredonia in double overtime at University Stadium.

How It Happened
The Lakers battled evenly throughout the contest, outshooting the Blue Devils 22–16 and generating consistent pressure, particularly in the second half where Oswego recorded 14 shots and five corner kicks. Despite the offensive push, Fredonia goalkeeper Casey Fetzner turned away all 10 shots on goal.
Oswego's attack was led by
Kyla Sustad, who registered five shots—four on goal—while forwards
Kaylee Elliot and
Brianna Winkler each provided dangerous chances off the bench.
Erika Yancey and
Lauren O'Connell also played key roles in keeping the pressure on, combining for four shots on target.
Defensively, goalkeeper
Paytyn Crane anchored the back line recording seven saves and keeping Fredonia scoreless through regulation and the first overtime period. The deciding moment came in the 105th minute, when Fredonia's Bronwyn Madden broke through with a golden goal assisted by Brooke Grazen.
