HOW IT HAPPENED
After falling behind 4-0 at the start of the first half,
Gary McLane opened the scoring for the Lakers with a three followed by a lay-up from
Deacon Judd to take their first lead of the game. The Bears struggled to keep up with the offense of the Lakers and in the final minute of play Oswego built their lead to 10 points. A free throw from
Billy Reyes and then two lay ups by McLane delivered the Lakers a 41-29 lead at the break.
Oswego picked up right where they left off building their second half lead to as large as 33 at one point. The Lakers bench contributed more than half their points (53) with 15 different players scoring a bucket in this one.
Jorel Monroe scored 9 points in two minutes of play and
Steven Bradley added 12 points in 11 minutes. As a team, Oswego shot an impressive 61% from the floor while scoring 22 points off Potsdam turnovers.
Oswego handled the Bears while scoring 100 points for the first time this season.

The men's basketball team will return home next Friday to take on the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons in the Max Ziel Gymnasium at 7:30 PM.
