HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first quarter, nerves got the best of the Lakers slowing down their offense. They shot 18% from the floor on 2-11 shooting. They also committed 6 turnovers giving the Red Dragons opportunities to get out in transition. In the second, things picked up for the Lakers and their shooting percentage doubled. On the defensive end, the Red Dragons were able to keep up the scoring taking their 22-18 lead into the break.
Macey DeOrdio lead the Lakers with 8 points.Â
Early on in the third quarter, the Lakers were forced to go to their bench after Hoefs earned her fourth foul. The two teams exchanged baskets which made it difficult for Oswego to close the gap in front of their home crowd. Out of a timeout, Iglesias and DeOrdio scored, and the Lakers closed the gap to 35-27, heading into the fourth. In the fourth, the Lakers were working to slowly take the lead. Finally, with two minutes left,
Macey DeOrdio sunk a three followed by a floater from
