MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Oswego in their second to last day in Myrtle would have a much better day than previously as they picked up 2 wins out of 3 games.
GAME 1:
THE BASICS
Oswego 10 (3-3, 0-0 SUNYAC)
Mt. St. Vincent 2 (1-4, 0-0 Skyline)
Myrtle Beach, SC
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers after a rough ending yesterday needed to come into this one hot and they did just that putting up a 2 spot in the bottom of the 1st. It was a RBI single for the scorching hot, Grace Dipalma and a sac fly by Gianna DeGonza got her home.
- Mt. St. Vincent responded in the top of the second as Riley Van Pelt would send a rocket into the outfield for an RBI double.
- Out of the 10 runs Oswego put up, most of it was in the 2nd inning. Lillian Haggerty with 1 RBI single, Grace Dipalma and Mackenzie Carlson followed those up with 2 of their own, DeGonza would ground out but that would bring home Haggerty, Kylie Detz would do the same thing bringing home Dipalma and this madness of an inning would end with a Layla Trendowski single. The Lakers would end up putting up 6 on the scoreboard.
- The Dolphins, in an attempt to get back in this one in the 3rd, would score 1 more. It was Emma Capozucca with a single to send home Ireyshka Lebron. The score was now 8-2 with the Lakers leading.
- Oswego would score 2 more that came with a Lily Fanea single that would score DeGonza.
WIN - Chelsea Sellars (2-1)
LOSS - Savannah Autobee (0-3)
Luke Belanger's POTG - Lillian Haggerty (3 HIts, 2 RBI, 2 Runs)
GAME 2:
THE BASICS
Oswego 0 (3-4, 0-0 SUNYAC)
UMass Boston 3 (8-0, 0-0 LEC)
Myrtle Beach, SC
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The name of the day for UMass Boston was Jacqueline Cherry. She recorded 12 strikeouts in the 25 she faced. In the first inning she struck out the side which was a foreshadow for the rest of this game.
- In the 1st a sac fly from Haley Tilberry would put the Beacons on top 1-0.
- Oswego couldn't respond going 1-2-3 in the top of the 2nd.
- A double steal from the Beacons would allow a sac fly from Amauri English to increase their lead to 2.
- In the top of the 5th, Cherry would walk Tahlia Gerardi only to come back and strike out the side.
- They would follow that up with another run in the bottom of the 5th. English would single sending Tilberry to score.
- In the top of the 7th, Mattison Phinney would single and steal 2 bags to be on third. But in the end it was Cherry to strike out the remaining at bats and deem her team victorious in this one, 3-0.

LOSS - Maria Lutz (1-2)
Luke Belanger's POTG - Mattison Phinney (2 Hits, 2 SB)
GAME 3:
THE BASICS
Oswego 2 (4-4, 0-0 SUNYAC)
Hartwick 0 (2-4, 0-0 Empire 8)
Myrtle Beach, SC
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first 2 innings were an absolute pitcher's duel. Both teams went 1-2-3 other than a Lillian Haggerty walk in the 1st.
- Ariana Guinassi would single in the 3rd but would later get picked off. We were still square at 0 through 3.
- The game would go dry as the pitching duel continues. The 5th would show life for Oswego as they had the bases loaded but couldn't capitalize.
- The 7th would be the difference maker for the Lakers. They had runners on second and third base. It was Kira Wright on second and Leah Abbruzzese was on third. Lillian Haggerty, the culprit of the week, came up clutch with a base clearing single up the middle. Oswego was up 2-0 and just needed 3 outs to win.
- Hartwick had 2 runners in scoring position but in the end, Gabriela Milazzo would strike out the Hawk's Emily Holladay and Oswego won 2-0.
