OSWEGO, NY – The SUNY Oswego women's tennis team was in action for the first time this spring when they hosted the Brockport Golden Eagles this Saturday for senior day celebrating Rafaela Dimitrakopoulou.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Oswego Women's Tennis team delivered a commanding 6-1 victory over Brockport on March 26, 2025. The Lakers swept all three doubles matches and won five of six singles matches in a strong team performance.

In doubles play, Oswego earned wins early, with Leah Bell and Emily DeLuca defeating Olivia Raschiatore and Cara Vasile 8-4 in the No. 1 matchup. The No. 2 team of Avery Borman and Isabella Eason secured an 8-2 win, while the No. 3 duo of Rafaela Dimitriko and Kate Hayes completed the sweep with a resounding 8-0 victory.

Oswego continued their momentum in singles play. The Lakers won five straight-set matches, highlighted by dominant performances from Borman (6-1, 6-1), Bell (6-1, 6-0), DeLuca (6-0, 6-0), and Eason (6-2, 6-0). Kate Hayes closed out her match in a hard-fought 6-1, 7-5 victory.

On Sunday April 6^th, the Lakers will head to the University of Rochester for a non-conference match up.
