OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego Lakers men's lacrosse team was on the road this Saturday for their regular season finale against the SUNY Canton Roo's.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers set the tone early, blitzing Canton with a 6-0 first quarter. Oswego's offense was firing on all cylinders, led by
Emmett Starowizc and
Hayden Coney, who both notched hat tricks. Starowizc added four assists to complete a seven-point performance, showcasing his playmaking ability.
The first half was all Oswego, with the Lakers building a commanding 11-2 lead.
Garrett Elston and
Corey O'Connor each added two goals, and
Gavin Elston chipped in a goal and an assist.
Faceoff specialist
Logan Prescott dominated the X, winning 16 of 17 faceoffs and giving Oswego crucial extra possessions. Defensively, the Lakers caused multiple turnovers and out-hustled Canton on ground balls, picking up 50 to Canton's 38.
Goalie
Seamus Hand anchored the defense in the first half with seven saves, while
Tyler Novak and
Shamus Holohan split second-half duties.
Though Canton made a late push in the fourth quarter, scoring five times, Oswego's early dominance was more than enough to secure the win. The Lakers finished the afternoon with 59 total shots and were effective on extra-man opportunities, converting three of seven chances.
