OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego State men's tennis team took on Thomas College at Nazareth University in the Empire 8 Semi Finals this Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Oswego came out firing in doubles, sweeping all three courts. The top pair of
Anthony Marcano and
Matthew Mannara set the tone with a dominant 8–2 victory.
Tyler Yhun and
Colin Byer followed suit on court two, also earning an 8–2 win.
Austin Davis and Miguel Garcia secured the sweep with an 8–5 win on court three.
Singles play saw continued success, with Oswego winning four of the six matches. Marcano and Mannara again led the way, each earning straight-set victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively. Marcano didn't drop a game in the opening set and finished strong at 6–0, 6–2, while Mannara rolled through his match 6–1, 6–2.
Byer and Garcia also claimed convincing wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, both in straight sets. Byer's 6–3, 6–2 win showcased his consistency, while Garcia dropped just four total games in a 6–3, 6–1 triumph.
Despite a hard-fought effort,
Austin Davis and
Tyler Yhun fell short in their singles matches, with Davis losing 2–6, 2–6 at No. 3 and Yhun falling 4–6, 0–6 at No. 6.
