Lakers Tie with SUNY Delhi Broncos

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team showed grit and composure on Saturday afternoon, playing SUNY Delhi to a hard-fought 0–0 draw at Laker Turf Stadium.

Final Score:
Oswego 0 (1-3-3, 0-0-0 SUNYAC)
SUNY Delhi 0 (1-3-4, 0-1-1 NAC)
Location: Lakers Turf Stadium | Oswego, NY

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers controlled much of the tempo in the second half, outshooting the Broncos 10–7 after the break and finishing with an 11–10 edge in total attempts. Midfielder Ian Husselbeck provided an offensive spark, leading Oswego with four shots, including two on target. Cerixey Lindsay, Simon Bastone, and Benjamin Brooks also tested the Delhi goalkeepers with quality looks throughout the contest.\

In the net, Kyle Rose stood tall for the Lakers, delivering a clean sheet with seven saves—several of them coming in key moments as Delhi pressed forward late. The defensive unit of Rowan King, Ryan Bullis, Edis Omerovic, and TJ Tanner helped limit Delhi's chances, especially inside the box, while also building play out of the back.

Oswego also generated five corner kicks compared to Delhi's two, keeping pressure on the visitors until the final whistle. Despite both sides finding opportunities, neither team could break through as the match tightened in the final minutes.

WHAT'S NEXT
Next Saturday the Lakers will host the Oneonta Red Dragons for their first SUNYAC match-up of the season.
