OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's volleyball team continued its strong start to the 2025 season with a 3–1 victory over SUNY Poly on Tuesday night in Utica. After dropping the opening set 20–25, the Lakers regrouped and powered their way to three straight set wins (25–19, 25–16, 25–15) to earn their 11th win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Senior outside hitter
Kalley Vugteveen led the attack with 16 kills on an impressive .480 hitting percentage, while
Priscilla McReynolds added 15 kills and 15 digs for a double-double performance.
Gigi Basile provided another strong offensive spark with 9 kills at a .500 clip, while
Alaina Dudzinski chipped in 6 kills without an error.
Setter
Mya Bush orchestrated the offense with a stellar 44 assists and added 9 digs, while defensively,
CJ Eidem and
Gabriella Bishop helped keep SUNY Poly's hitters in check, combining for 23 digs. Bishop also contributed 6 service aces to keep the Wildcats under constant pressure.
As a team, Oswego hit .261 compared to SUNY Poly's .126, showing dominance at the net and steady improvement after the first set. The Lakers tallied 74 digs overall and finished with 68 total points, taking control of the match down the stretch.
With the win, Oswego improves to 11–3 on the season.
