HOW IT HAPPENED
It took the Lakers no time at all to gain a sizable lead. Oswego controlled the ball for most of the first half. They had multiple opportunities to score, and they did just that. In the 14th minute, Junior forward Kyla Sustad kicked off the weekend with an unassisted goal that found the lower left corner. In the blink of an eye, Oswego tacked on another goal. This one courtesy of Brianna Winkler. Sustad picked up the assist.

In the later portion of the first half, Oswego intercepted a pass from a Keuka defender. Sustad got the ball from Olivia Davis and after a set of pretty moves, she used her right foot to go low left corner right past the Keuka goalie. It was Sustad's second goal of the game.
Oswego dominated the first half and found themselves up 3-0, going into the break. They had 9 more shots than Keuka and 4 more corners. Oswego was in the driver's seat through and through in the first 45 minutes of action.

All of that energy from the first half was carried right into the second half for Oswego. Olivia Davis had an assist in the first half but scored a goal of her own in the 2nd minute of the second half. Davis cut off a pass and had open field in front of her. She got past the last defender and sent a bullet past the Keuka goalie and into the side of the net. The Lakers now had a commanding lead of 4 early in the second half of play.

Although no more goals were scored in this contest, Oswego continued to be in control. They took 10 shots to Keuka's 0. Similarly, they had 4 corner kicks to Keuka's 0. Oswego finished an excellent game, scoring 4 goals and allowing 3 shots and moving to 2-0-1 on the season.

WHAT'S NEXT
