HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers, now 10–2 overall and 4–1 in conference play, led by just two at the break but flipped the game after halftime with sharper execution and a consistent inside presence. Oswego shot over 53 percent from the floor in the second half, turning a tight contest into a controlled finish.
Steven Bradley set the tone for Oswego, pouring in a game-high 23 points on 11-of-18 shooting. The junior repeatedly found space in the lane and was especially effective in transition, where the Lakers punished Plattsburgh for missed opportunities.
Deacon Judd followed with a double-double, tallying 14 points and 10 rebounds while providing a steady presence on both ends of the floor.
Arthur Foster added 12 points and seven boards, and
Jayson McGhee sparked the offense off the bench with nine points and six assists. Oswego's depth proved valuable late, as the Lakers outscored Plattsburgh in the paint, 42–26, and held a 24–17 edge in fast-break points.
Plattsburgh State stayed within striking distance behind Reem Welch's 26 points and Jaiden Gladney's 20, trimming the deficit to single digits several times in the second half. Each push, however, was met by a timely Oswego response, whether it came via a Bradley finish at the rim or a Judd putback off an offensive rebound.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will head to Oneonta this Tuesday for another SUNYAC clash starting at 7:30 PM.
