How it Happened
Oswego shot out of a cannon to start this game as just two minutes into the game
Sabrina Schmitt found the back of the net. Oswego struck first in a big way and was up 1-0 in a blink of an eye. Oswego stayed aggressive on the offensive side of the ball and continued to apply pressure. The Lakers fired off five more shots in the half, but none would fall. In contrast, the Blue Devils couldn't get much going on their side of the field. The first half ended 1-0 in favor of the Lakers.Â

It was much of the same for the Lakers in the beginning of the second half. It wasn't until the 63rd minute where the Blue Devils flipped the switch. It was Anna Ratchuk in the goal, and the game was now tied. Oswego made a number of substitutions, but Fredonia was still phishing forward. In the 78th minute, the Blue Devils did some more damage. They scored another goal to completely flip this game around and take the lead. Just four minutes later the Lakers responded in a big way.
Kyla Sustad came up in a huge moment and scored to tie things up. Nothing came out of the last 7 minutes, and the contest finished in a tie at 2.Â
