Potsdam, N.Y. – Oswego St. defeated SUNY Potsdam 2-0 on Saturday. The Lakers scored once in each half and limited SUNY Potsdam to two shots on goal. With the win and Alfred State loss, the Lakers have secured their spot in the SUNAYC Playoffs.

How it Happened
Aiden Lawrence opened the scoring for the Lakers at 23:17, finishing a goal assisted by
Simon Bastone and
TJ Tanner for a 1-0 advantage.
Kyle Rose made two saves in the half, including one shortly after the goal, and SUNY Oswego carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Lakers added to their lead in the 53rd minute when
Ian Husselbeck converted a penalty kick to make it 2-0. SUNY Oswego generated three shots and a corner from 67:58 to 75:44, then added another corner and Lawrence shot in the 86th minute. The Lakers closed out the second half without conceding and finished off a 2-0 win.
Lawrence scored the game-winning goal and put one of his two shots on frame.
Ian Husselbeck added an unassisted goal, finishing with two shots and one on goal. Bastone recorded an assist and also had two shots, including one on target. Rose played all 90 minutes in goal, making two saves and finishing with a shutout.
