HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers battled hard throughout the opening half, applying pressure early while trying to find an opening. Laker goalkeeper
Kyle Rose achieved his new season high with 6 saves compared to the Red Dragons' goalkeeper Ott Jordan with 2 saves. Both teams fought hard to score in the first half, but the result after the first half was still 0-0.
In the second half, the Lakers pushed full speed ahead. In the 48th minute, Red Dragon Gabe Garcia received a yellow card. With the mood switch, the Lakers,
Simon Bastone, made an attack, but the score stayed where it was, 0-0. Another shot was taken by
Kieran Husselbeck that couldnt make it past the keeper to keep us at 0-0. The Lakers tried to push for the lead, but in the 58th minute, the Owen Brant scored to make the score 0-1. Despite shots from Cowin and Husselbeck in the remaining minutes, Oswego would fall to Cortland, 1-0.

Oswego has a few days off as they work to get a win on their home field against the Buffalo State Bengals on October 7th, at 4 PM.
