Oswego, NY – The Lakers women's basketball team clashed with the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs in Laker Hall Friday evening. Despite last second efforts, the Lakers suffered a home loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers battled through 10 ties and 13 lead changes, keeping the game within reach until the final seconds. Oswego trailed by five at halftime but responded with a strong third quarter, outscoring Morrisville 21–15 to take a 50–47 lead into the final period. The fourth quarter saw back-and-forth action, with neither team able to pull away.
Giavanna White-Principio led Oswego with a double-double, finishing with 21 points and 17 rebounds while playing all 40 minutes.
Zhane Holmes added 15 points and six assists, while
Bri Weaver provided a spark off the bench with 12 points. Oswego held an advantage in the paint, scoring 38 points inside, and forced 19 points off Morrisville turnovers.
Despite the Lakers' effort, Morrisville's Anyssia Ingersoll scored a game-high 30 points, including key free throws in the final seconds to seal the win. Oswego had a chance to tie in the closing moments, but a last-second three-point attempt was blocked as time expired.
