HOW IT HAPPENED

Men's Meet:

Tony Medina and Ryan Murphy both raced in the men's 500 yard freestyle "B" final, and finished 11th and 14th respectively, both recording personal best times of 4:54.50 and 4:56.55.

In the 200 yard IM, Nathan Ratta Vine finished 4th in the "A" final with a time of 1:56.74. Ethan Calhoun took 5th, right behind his teammate with a time of 1:59.48.

In the "A" final of the 50 yard freestyle, Sam Waddell took 5th place, with a time of 21.61. In the "B" Final, Duncan Smith finished in 12th, with Nick Celentano and Nick Derick taking 14th and 16th.

The Lakers finished things off with the 200 yard freestyle relay, as the "A" relay of Duncan Smith, Sam Waddell, Antonio Medina, and Ryan Murphy took 4th.

Women's Meet:

In the 500 yard freestyle, Izzy Dague finished in 2nd, with a personal best time of 5:12.66, with Bella McDonald taking 6th. In the "B" final, Emily Lotito finished in 9th, and Emily Seldin took 11th.

In the 200 yard IM, Anna Baker finished in 8th. In the "B" final, Gabby Janeski finished 9th for the Lakers, with Aurora Jarvie taking 15th.

Maddy Van Bramer and Amber Burke finished in 6th and 8th place respectively in women's 1-meter diving.

In the 50 yard freestyle, Jayna Laferriere went for gold. Seeded first overall heading into the "A" final, Laferriere delivered, putting down a 23.97, and breaking the Oswego school record, with an impressive first place finish.

In the Women's 200 yard freestyle relay, the Lakers experienced a swimming anomaly. A tie for second place between Oswego and Penn State Behrend. Rather than a swim-off to decide a victor, conference officials decided the two teams should share the spoils, as Aurora Jarvie, Katherine Burch, Joscelyn Coniski, and Jayna Laferriere tied for second place.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Oswego State Lakers will be back in action tomorrow for a handful of events, and will continue their championship run in Buffalo until Saturday.
