Oswego, NY – The SUNYAC has announced the 2025-26 Women's Indoor Track & Field Awards and All-Conference Teams. The Lakers earned three women on the all-conference teams!
Elena Gaffney – Second Team
Hannah Reichard – Third Team
Kyra Pellegrino – Third Team
Gaffney kicked off her indoor season with a first-place finish at the Utica Holiday classic in the women's 5000 (18:05.86). She went on to finish first in the women's mile at the Highlander Invitational (5:18.12), and second in the women's 5000 at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships with a time of 17:48.31. Gaffney set three new Oswego Indoor records this season 3000 and 5000 events. This is Elenas second season being honored on an all-conference team, last year she earned third team all-conference.
Reichard had a record-breaking season for the Lakers that started with a second-place finish in the 5000 at the Utica Holiday Classic. She went on to finish first in the 800 at the Highlander Invitational and first in the mile at the Nazareth Conference Tune-Up. At the SUNYAC Indoor Championships, she finished third in the women's mile with a time of 5:01.75. This season, Hannah set a new indoor mile Oswego record and then broke it again later in the season while also setting a new record for the women's 800.
Kyra Pellegrino capped off her season by finishing third at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships with a time of 18:07.46 in the women's 5000. Earlier, at the Highlander Invitational, she finished first in the 5000 with a time of 18:20.78. At the Nazareth Conference Tune-Up, she took first in the women's 3000 with a time of 10:27.86 which set a new Oswego Indoor record.
All three women were part of the women's DMR team that finished first at the Nazareth D3 Elite Meet with a time of 12:37.71.
