HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for four runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looking back. A run-scoring double from Delaney Wiley and an RBI single by Emma Budzinski highlighted the early surge, while disciplined at-bats kept pressure on the RIT pitching staff throughout.

Budzinski delivered a perfect day at the plate, going 4-for-4 with four runs scored and three RBI, anchoring a 14-hit attack. Wiley added three hits, including a home run and two doubles, while driving in a pair and scoring three times.

Oswego continued to build its lead with a run in the second and a three-run fourth inning, capitalizing on timely hitting—including a two-run single from Emma Grasso off the bench. Back-to-back solo home runs from Wiley and Budzinski in the fifth inning put the finishing touches on the run-rule victory.

In the circle, Alyssa Budzinski controlled the game, allowing three runs on six hits over five innings to earn her 10th win of the season

In game 2, RIT stormed out of the gates with a six-run first inning, stringing together six hits and taking advantage of early pitching struggles to seize control. The Tigers added another run in the second and broke the game open with a three-run homer from Taryn Jones in the third, stretching the lead to 10-0.

Oswego struggled to generate offense against RIT starter Jessica Majot, who held the Lakers to just two hits across five innings. The lone run came in the fifth, when Kira Wright delivered an RBI single to score Tahlia Gerardi.

After a difficult opening inning, Lyndsey Hmura settled in to provide stability in relief, tossing five innings while limiting further damage, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
