Cortland, NY – The Lakers faced off with the Cortland Red Dragons in a decisive game 3 on Saturday to see which team would earn the automatic bid from the SUNYAC to the NCAA tournament.

Oswego: 3 (23-16, 14-4 SUNYAC)
Cortland: 4 (29-10-1, 15-1 SUNYAC)

How it Happened
The game opened with 3 scoreless innings from both teams. In the top of the 4
th, the Lakers scored the first run of the day when
Dylan Rosenberg doubled followed by a
Brogan Olson single to make it 1-0.
Cortland was able to answer in the bottom of the inning with 2 runs of their own. Cortland added a 3
rd run in the bottom of the fifth as well.
The score remained 3-1 until the top of the 9
th when
Dylan Rosenberg lead off with a walk. Olson followed with a single and both runners advanced on a passed ball. The freshman
Harry Uvena then delivered the biggest hit of the weekend for Oswego sending a single up the middle and scoring 2 runs to tie the game at 3 heading to the bottom of the ninth.
Unfortunately, Cortland produced a run in the bottom of the 9
th, defeating the Lakers 4-3.

Senior outfielder
Emil Sander was awarded the SUNYAC Elite 20 award for the student-athlete at the Championship site with the highest GPA.
What's Next
This completes the 2026 season for the Oswego Lakers Baseball team who finish with an overall record of 23-16.
