OSWEGO, N.Y. – A blend of familiar conference rivals, competitive regional opponents, and a pivotal midseason invitational highlight the 2026-27 SUNY Oswego men's and women's swimming and diving schedule, as the Lakers prepare for another run toward the SUNYAC Championships.
The season opens in front of the home crowd on Oct. 17 when Oneonta visits Laker Hall, kicking off a schedule that features four home meets and seven road competitions before the conference championships in February.
Oswego won't have to wait long for its first road test. The Lakers travel to Hartwick on Oct. 24 for a tri-meet with the host Hawks and Ramapo before returning home a week later to square off with Clarkson.
The heart of the fall schedule arrives in November. After a road dual against Hobart and William Smith on Nov. 7, the Lakers host Fredonia the following weekend before making the trip north for the three-day Potsdam Invitational on Nov. 20-22. The invitational serves as one of the premier meets on the regular-season calendar, providing teams with a championship-style atmosphere well before the postseason begins.
Oswego closes out the first semester with a non-conference matchup at Nazareth on Dec. 5 before returning to competition following the winter break.
The final month of the regular season begins with a visit to St. Lawrence on Jan. 16 before the Lakers return to Laker Hall one last time to host Cortland on Jan. 23. The afternoon will double as Senior Day, honoring the program's graduating student-athletes in their final home appearance.
A road dual at Potsdam on Jan. 30 closes the regular season and serves as the final tune-up before the conference championships.
The Lakers will then turn their attention to the SUNYAC Championships that are scheduled for Feb. 17-20. Four days of championship racing will determine conference titles while providing swimmers and divers the opportunity to post NCAA qualifying performances.
