OSWEGO, N.Y. – Tournament-tested from the opening weekend through the postseason, the SUNY Oswego wrestling team will face one of its toughest schedules in recent years as the Lakers announced their 2026-27 campaign.

The season begins Nov. 6-7 at the always-competitive Ithaca Invitational, where Oswego will get an early opportunity to measure itself against some of the top programs in the Northeast. Following an additional event on Nov. 14, the Lakers head to Nassau Community College for the New York State Championships on Nov. 21, one of the premier in-state tournaments of the season.

December features another pair of strong tests, beginning with the RIT Invitational on Dec. 5 before Oswego travels to Pennsylvania to take on Lycoming College in a dual meet on Dec. 12.

The calendar turns to January with another trip to Ithaca, where the Lakers will compete alongside Nassau Community College on Jan. 3 before heading back to Lycoming for the annual Whitehill Duals on Jan. 8-9. The two-day event annually brings together a talented field of Division III programs and provides valuable experience as the postseason approaches.

Following another competition later in the month, the Lakers will travel to Ithaca once again on Jan. 23 for the SUNYAC Championships. Conference titles and NCAA regional qualification will be on the line as Oswego looks to position itself for a strong postseason run.

The final stretch of the regular season features a challenging mix of dual competition. Oswego travels to New Jersey for the TCNJ Quad on Jan. 30 before road duals against Oneonta on Feb. 3 and St. John Fisher on Feb. 5. The Lakers return to Max Ziel Gymnasium for a home dual on Feb. 12 when Cortland visits Oswego in the regular-season finale.

The postseason begins Feb. 26-27 at the NCAA Region II Championships, where wrestlers will compete for a chance to earn a berth to the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.
