Washington, NJ — SUNY Oswego men's golf had their first day at The Gauntlet in Washington, NJ, at Hawke Point Golf Club, with the Lakers finishing the day 12th out of 13 teams in Round 1.

How it Happened:
 
Justin Alvord led the Lakers in the first round today, carding a +5 to finish for 34th overall. Alvord recorded birdies on 10, 11, and 13.
 
Tyler Helmick and Sam Ligas also contributed with a +8 and a +10. Finishing for the day in 51st and 55th overall. Drew Kippen followed with a +11 with 2 birdies, while Kevin Waters recorded a +13 with birdies on 6 and 12. Kippen placed 58th for the day, and Waters placed 62nd. 
 
Oswego will look to build on their scores tomorrow as the team continues competition at The Gauntlet.
