HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers absorbed pressure in the first half, with
Kyle Rose making saves at 16:26 and 16:35 during a four-action Rochester stretch that remained 0-0. Rochester broke through at 23:00 on Pasquale Carusone's goal, assisted by Nico Ranieri and Jasper Danielian, to put SUNY Oswego behind 1-0. The Lakers earned four corner kicks in the half, including two after the goal, but went into halftime trailing 1-0.
In the second half, the Lakers were held off the board while Rochester added goals from Milos Bisenic at 71:09 and Johnny Makula at 79:23 to push the score to 3-0. SUNY Oswego generated a late response with three corner kicks between 83:36 and 87:13 and a shot from
Vladimir Lavrynenko, but the match finished 3-0.
Rose played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with three saves.
Jacob Bachrach recorded one shot and put it on goal.
