SCRANTON, Pa. — The Lakers hit the road to take on Marywood University as one of their final non-conference games of the season.

How it Happened
The Lakers battled hard throughout the opening half, applying pressure early while trying to find an opening. The Lakers recorded eight shots in the first half, while Marywood only had 6 shots. All the shots were saved by Lakers goalkeeper, Lucy Starszk.
The Lakers tried to push for a lead in the second half, but in the 56th minute Marywood punched first with a goal from Madison Dias. The Lakers, only down one, tried to push ahead, working to find a goal late in the second half. Unfortunately, Marywood was able to tally two more goals in the second half. The Lakers showed high energy but ultimately fell 0-3.
Starzyk played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded five saves. Rath finished with two shots, including one on goal. Schmitt matched Rath for the team lead with two shots.

Up next, the Lakers visit Fredonia on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 4 p.m. at University Stadium in Fredonia, New York.
