How it Happened
The Lakers picked up a win at third doubles, as
Avery Borman and
Aubrey Salati defeated RIT's Amulya Settyvari and Sona Hanumali, 6-3. Oswego's
Emily DeLuca and
Leah Bell fell to Emily Greb and Tina Dong, 6-2, at first doubles, while
Kate Hayes and
Isabella Eason dropped a 6-2 decision to Kai Wells and Melanie Saborio at second doubles.
RIT went on to take all six singles matches. Borman competed at first singles against Greb, falling 6-0, 6-1. Bell battled Dong at second singles before dropping a 6-4, 6-1 decision.
At third singles, DeLuca fell to Saborio, 6-0, 6-1, while Eason was defeated by Wells, 6-1, 6-0, at fourth singles. Hayes dropped her fifth singles match to Settyvari, 6-1, 6-4, and
Alexis Christian fell to Hanumali, 6-1, 6-1, at sixth singles.
