Brandi Lusk

Brandi (Ostrander) Lusk enters her fourth season as Oswego State's field hockey head coach for the 2011 campaign.  Last season, Lusk guided the Lakers to an overall mark of 4-11 where four games were decided by one goal.  She has coached five players to six all-conference awards, including two-time First Team All-SUNYAC honoree Brittany Roezter and the 2008 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year Kelly Collins.

Lusk joined Oswego State in 2008-09 as the field hockey and women's lacrosse head coach after being associated with one of the most successful junior college lacrosse programs in New York and the nation.

A native of East Springfield, NY, Lusk attended Herkimer County Community College, where she was a part of three National Junior College Athletic Association women's lacrosse tournament teams as a player and a coach. She was a member of the school's inaugural women's lacrosse program which sported a 3-5 record in its debut season. The following year, Lusk led the squad to a 12-1 record, an NJCAA Region III Championship, and a third-place finish in the national tournament. She graduated from Herkimer with an associate's degree in Science in Physical Education, named the school's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, a SUNY Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete, and garnered a spot on Who's Who of American Junior College Students.

After serving a year as women's lacrosse volunteer assistant coach in 2006, where the team finished 13-1 in repeating as Region III Champions and finishing third nationally, Lusk took over the reigns of the program in 2007.  She led the Generals to a 9-5 record, a runner-up Region III finish, and a fourth-place showing in the NJCAA national tournament en route to being named NJCAA District C Coach of the Year. Under her tutelage, Lusk had seven players receive All-Region accolades, with one earning first team All-America recognition.  Throughout her association with Herkimer (as player and coach), the women's lacrosse program earned NJCAA National Academic Team of the Year honors four consecutive seasons.

Lusk received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education in May 2007 from SUNY Cortland and earned her master's degree in Science and Education from SUNY Cortland.
