During his playing career, Josh played at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, where he was named an All-American as a senior, also winning North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year. He was also a 2x Suny Poly Male Athlete of the Year winner, finishing his career as the 2nd all time-leading scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker. He currently plays semi-professionally, as a team captain for the Herkimer Originals after a short time overseas.
He was the head boys varsity basketball coach for the Oriskany Sky Hawks the past two seasons, leading them to a combined record of 28-15. During his last season, he was named the Center State Conference Coach of the Year, leading the Sky Hawks to a 15-6 overall record. He also coaches and works with youth players in his training business JG Basketball.
He will also finish his Masters in Sport & Performance Psychology.
Last Season, Josh was on Jason Leone’s staff , helping the team to a 17-9 overall record. Josh also spent a large amount of time on court with players helping their development, notably freshman Deacon Judd who was named SUNYAC player of the year as a freshman. He also helped with game scouting and planning, film analysis, as well as recruiting.
