Dan Ford

Dan Ford

Dan Ford has been a volunteer assistant coach with the Oswego State men's ice hockey team since 2012 after serving as the program's first full-time assistant coach for four seasons when he worked with four All-Americans and 15 All-SUNYAC players. His primary responsibilities included working with the Laker defensemen, special teams, video analysis, scouting, and recruiting.

During the 2006-07 season, Ford's contributions helped the Lakers earn their first national championship while setting the previous school record by achieving the lowest goals-against average in the program's history.

In 2009-10, Ford helped the Lakers win their eighth SUNYAC title and first league crown since 2003. That season Oswego State, the SUNYAC Regular Season Champions, posted the highest winning percentage (.897) and the most consecutive wins (22) in program history.

Prior to joining the Oswego State staff, Ford was a 20-year coach and coordinator in the Oswego Minor Hockey Association. Dan and his wife, Mary Jo, reside in Baldwinsville. They have three children, Joe, Laura and Mike.
