Andrew Daly begins his fourth year at the helm of the Laker lacrosse program after joining the Oswego staff in the summer of 2022. In his three years with the Green and Gold, he has established an overall 27-17 W/L record, a 16-5 SUNYAC W/L record, and a program-best three-year string of SUNYAC playoff appearances.
The 2025 season saw the Lakers finish with a program-record #2 seed in the SUNYACs following an impressive 6-1 conference finish. Among almost 250 D-III men’s lacrosse programs, the Lakers finished in the top 50 in clearing percentage, face-off win percentage, man-down defense, and scoring defense.
Three Lakers earned first-team All-SUNYAC honors, and another four were named to the second team; seven represents the most Oswego All-Conference honorees in a single season since 1996. Junior goalie Seamus Hand ranked in the top 50 in both save percentage (55.7) and goals against (9.28) and was named to the first team for the second time. Senior attackman Corey Oconnor (41-7-48), and sophomore midifelder Emmet Starowicz (14-22-36) were also named to All-SUNYAC first team.
Face-off specialist Logan Prescott earned SUNYAC honors for his fourth year and ranked in the top 25 of all D-III teams with a 66.1 win percentage. He was joined on the All-SUNYAC second team by senior defenseman Jackson Cummings (1-3-4, 32 GBs, 16 CT), sophomore attackman Garrett Elston (24-13-37) and senior LSM Rob Nelson (24 GBs, 2 CT).
The 2025 Lakers hosted the program’s first-ever post-season home game when they played #3 Oneonta in the SUNYAC semi-finals, but came up on the short end of a 12-8 score.
In 2024, Coach Daly led the Green and Gold to a 10-6 overall record, only the second double-digit winning season since 1996. Dramatic highlights included overtime wins versus SUNYAC rivals Potsdam and Oneonta and a last-second victory at Nazareth, the program’s first-ever win versus the Golden Flyers.
The Lakers finished 5-2 in conference play for the second straight year and earned the #3 seed in the SUNYAC playoffs. Four team members earned All-SUNYAC honors – junior defender Jackson Cummings and sophomore goalie Seamus Hand were named to the First Team, and junior midfielder Corey O’Connor and junior face-off specialist Logan Prescott earned Second Team honors. Junior long-stick-midfielder Rob Nelson was named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament team.
In 2023, Coach Daly’s first year, the Lakers went 7-6 overall and 5-2 in SUNYAC play, tying a program-best SUNYAC record. The Lakers were seeded third in the Conference tournament, only the second time in program history to be seeded that high. Senior defender Evan Coleman and sophomore face-off specialist Logan Prescott received Second Team All-SUNYAC honors.
Before coming to Oswego, Coach Daly served as the head men's lacrosse coach at Wells College for eight years. Under his leadership at Wells, the men's lacrosse program received numerous accolades, including 20 All-NEAC Players, the program’s single season wins records, and a nationally ranked offense and defense.
Prior to his years at Wells, Daly was the assistant coach at SUNY Oneonta, head coach at El Camino High School in Oceanside, California, and the assistant coach at Nottingham High School in Syracuse.
Following a successful high school career at Jamesville-Dewitt HS, Daly played Division I lacrosse at Wagner College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Family Studies. He later earned his Master of Science Degree in 2015 in Education and School Counseling from SUNY Oneonta.
Daly and his wife Diana live in Liverpool with their twins, Beaux and Bianka.
