Casey Price starts her fourth season directing the Oswego State softball team during the 2014 campaign. In 2013, Price was named SUNYAC Sandra Hollander Coach of the Year after guiding the Lakers to a 17-20 overall record and a 9-9 conference record to earn the second consecutive sixth seed in the SUNYAC Championships. It marked the third time in program history that the Lakers qualified for the league tournament. In the conference tournament, the Lakers earned their first ever postseason win, while also becoming the first No. 6 seed in SUNYAC history to knock of the No. 1 seed. In three seasons, she has coached four All-SUNYAC players, including First Team All-SUNYAC and ECAC Upstate All-Star First Team honoree Tori Trovato.
Prior to joining the Lakers, Price served as a volunteer assistant pitching coach at Division II University of Massachusetts at Lowell where she assisted with scouting, recruiting, and pitching fundamentals for one season.
Before working with UMass-Lowell, Price had been a volunteer assistant pitching coach at SUNY Plattsburgh from 1999-2010. Price worked individually with the pitching staff to develop fundamentals, created individualized workout programs, and called pitches during contests. While with the Cardinals, she served as the varsity softball coach at Baldwinsville Central, developing a winning tradition for the program and earning a Coach of the Year Award in 2000. Price has also been an active clinician and private instructor in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, and Oklahoma since 1992.
Price competed collegiately at the University of Oklahoma from 1987-89. She began her high school career as a pitcher, and was a multiple All-State performer in Iowa before converting to the outfield in college. She was named Freshman Fall Softball Athlete of the Year at Oklahoma.
Price received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Oklahoma in 1992 and Master of Science degree in Education from SUNY Oswego in 2000. She has been a teacher in the Baldwinsville Central School District since 1999 and presently resides in Baldwinsville.
