Oswego State Athletics

Coach Muckey is in his 4th season with SUNY Oswego Womens Basketball.  In the first three seasons, he has helped the team achieve three straight winning seasons while climbing the ranks of the SUNYAC Conference including two consecutive conference semifinal appearances. 

During his tenure here, Coach Muckey’s duties  have included game and practice assistance, recruiting, skill development, social media committee advisor, assistance with team bonding/community events, and team study hall monitor. 

Prior to accepting his position, Coach Muckey had over 15 years of coaching experience in the Oswego County area including high school head coach experiences at Mexico Academy Central School and Sodus Central School District. It also included owning and coaching teams for Port City Blue Wave AAU Basketball as well as managing the St Paul’s Girls Travel Program both as the Director and Head Coach. Duties included game and program management, skill development of K-12 athletes, program fundraising, tournament organization and management, and leadership in the programs supporting many charitable and Oswego City community organizations.
